Zach Weiner is an actor living on the Upper West Side of New York. When the PM film industry shuts down, Zach and his friend Joe embark on a unique project: making a film about running for city council, actually running for New York City Council. Zach and his campaign are working with their community at the local level, asking to improve the lives of their fellow West Siders, but the campaign is hardly attracting attention. Then, with the help of unconventional tactics, Zach’s team promotes his underdog campaign to the top of New York politics.
