Plot
An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi fall in love; discover if their relationship will survive their very different lives and meddling families. Original title “Shiksa” which is also the last word spoken in the first episode. I really enjoyed it! Romantic comedies always follow the same formula, but this one has a lot of strong points – + I FELT the chemistry between the leads. It felt natural and harmonious. They played these characters so well! + The dialogue and relationships between the characters were funny, witty, and touching in the best possible way. + In a world that promotes representation, this was the first time I’d seen a Jewish male love interest. I thought it showed the beautiful and inclusive parts of religion without putting it on a pedestal in any way. Great writing, great cast, and amazing chemistry made me watch this over and over, then quickly searched “Will there be a season 2?”. I loved it!
